What can I do on Coopmmunity?

Coopmmunity has a range of tools to help organise and get people involved in Cooperative Housing under a right-of-use agreement. The platform is aimed at both development groups and agents working to promote the model.

Coopmmunity is split into two levels of participation:

  1. Territories: places to learn, discuss and connect with people nearby. They provide an online space for people interested in and working on cooperative housing to connect and collaborate.

  2. Cooperatives: an exclusive online space for developers and existing co-operatives to work together. Coopmmunity provides the tools, technical support and training necessary to encourage participation and shared decision-making.

For Territories, we provide the following features:

  • Discussion forums: public, private and restricted with public visibility.

  • Meetings. Registration organisation and management, programmes, video calls and meeting minutes.

  • Shared calendar.

  • Noticeboard.

  • Document database.

For Cooperatives, we provide the following features:

  • Private discussion forums.

  • Meetings. Registration organisation and management, programmes, video calls and meeting minutes.

  • Proposals. Idea brainstorming, voting and budget allocation.

  • Process monitoring.

  • Internal surveys.

  • Shared calendar.

  • Noticeboard.

  • Document database.

Both the Territories and the Cooperatives hold participatory meetings called Assemblies.
